Church volunteer sign-up sheet
Every service and event runs on volunteers. Make a sign-up sheet for greeters, readers, nursery, coffee hour or a special event, and let your congregation pick where they want to help.
No account needed for you or your guests.
How it works
- Start from the template. The slots are already filled in. Change names, dates and spots to fit your plans.
- Share one link. Send it by WhatsApp, email or text. People open it on any phone or computer.
- Watch it fill up. Everyone picks a slot and types their name. Full slots close automatically, and a waitlist catches anyone who missed out.
Planning a volunteer rota
Add a slot for each role and each service, with the date and time. For a monthly rota, set up the first week and use "Add several at once" for the rest.
Older members often don't want to create accounts or install apps. A link that opens straight in the browser makes it easy for everyone to take part.
Events and special services
For a fundraiser, a community meal or a holiday service, make a separate sheet with all the jobs: setup, cooking, welcoming, music, cleanup.
Print the sheet for the notice board, with the QR code, so people can sign up after the service.
Tips
- Share the link in your newsletter and put the QR code in the bulletin.
- Give each role a short note about what it involves.
- Copy last month's sheet to start the next one.
- Switch off name visibility for sensitive roles if needed.
- Use the waitlist for popular events so extra helpers can step in.
